finding beauty is like finding meaning.

most of us go all our lives looking for it

while

it unfolds when we stop looking and start making things happen. start creating.

The Existential Artist

the bridge between knowing and seeing hangs above a sea of chaos

Long enough on the quest and you eventually dip your feet into it

When you get there, faces are not faces, they are stories. People are no longer strangers. You look at things as not things, but different perspectives of happenings

Stare long enough and a patterns starts to emerge. You see it in flashes. A pattern in everything. A pattern of Life. A pattern that is You

As the search for self continues..

so does the struggle to detangle that pattern and find out who you really are.

...an endless chase of infinity

Search for meaning in life is absurd.

But the beauty of absurd is that once you hit it, you look through it.

You can drop this ego trip altogether and in a moment of clarity between seeing and knowing, realize that..

you always are the person you were want to be.

that you are one continuous motion with the rest of the universe.

that you are not like a soul dropped on an alien planet making your way through life

But that you are the one creating this pattern called you, just like you are shining the sun.

Art is never abstract.

You always start with something and then remove the layers of reality form it.

And so if life

Artist Statement

Toronto based artist Navneet Nishant depicts the fundamentals of existentialism through his Art. Connecting stories from paintings to paintings, his works take a spin on the deepest of thoughts in human psyche, ranging from chaos and confusion to awareness and enlightenment. His works portray a unique way of seeing the world in terms of duality, patterns, absurd and harmony, and weave these through physical motion on the canvas, characteristic with vibrant colours and intriguing subject matters. Self taught, he started painting with Acrylic medium in 2010, as a means to distract himself from the dementia of information overload. His works have helped many others understand the nature of human mind and have brought them close to finding meaning in life.
